The proposed variant
Physical shooting, rebounds, queen, and penalties; one round, simplified digital rules.
THE ESSENTIALS
How to Play
- Friendly digital carrom, one round for two; flat physical play with friction and rebounds. White starts. Compact setup with nine pieces per camp and the queen in the center.
- Place the striker on your line without overlapping a piece. Set direction and strength, then shoot. Pocket your own color to play again; an opponent’s piece stays with their camp.
- The queen must be covered by a piece of your side in the same shot or the next; otherwise it returns. Simplified convention: one piece also suffices on the first shot.
- Striker pocketed: the pieces you pocketed in this shot return, along with a penalty piece (debt if necessary), and the turn ends. Pieces are automatically replaced near the center.
- Empty your side after covering the queen. Finishing before it is covered means losing. One hundred shots without progress make a draw. This mode does not reproduce officiating, gesture fouls, or the federation match in multiple rounds.
