THE GAME GUIDE
Chinese Checkers
Bring your ten marbles into the opposite triangle.

01 · THE ESSENTIALS
The rules to get started
The proposed variant
Chain jumps without capture; once a marble arrives, it never leaves its triangle.
For several players on the same screen
Choose two, three, four or six players. With three players, the sides occupy every other triangle; with four, two pairs of opposite triangles; with six, the whole star. Each side must bring its ten marbles into its opposite triangle, without capture. A marble that has arrived may no longer leave this triangle.
This variant allows stopping on the other triangles, without a forced exchange in case of blockage. The third repetition is a draw; the limit is 200 turns for two players, 300 turns for three, four, or six players: these are our friendly-game conventions.
Beyond two players, camp 1 starts; everyone plays for themselves and camps are identified by a number and a color. These modes are local: humans on this screen or one player versus the computers, with no online player search.
THE ESSENTIALS
How to Play
- Ten marbles per side on a star with 121 holes. Play with two, or with three, four or six on the same screen.
- Move a marble to a neighboring hole or make a chain of jumps over adjacent marbles from any side. Every landing must be empty; no capture.
- You can end a chain after any jump. A marble that enters its destination triangle can move there but may no longer leave it.
- Fill the opposite triangle. Friendly convention: draw on the third repetition or after 200 turns for two players, 300 turns for three, four, or six.
