How to Play
- This variant is a reconstruction: the board and the beans are historical, but the full rule set has not survived.
- Each player moves four markers around the cross's 52 squares.
- Five marked beans determine movement: 1 to 4 marks equal that many steps; five marks equal 10.
- Landing on an opponent's marker outside a refuge sends it back to the start.
- The first player to bring back their four markers wins. No real-money wagering is involved.
