THE GAME GUIDE

Seega

Capture by bracketing.

01 · THE ESSENTIALS

The rules to get started

The proposed variant

A placement phase comes before orthogonal movement.

THE ESSENTIALS

How to Play

  1. Each player first places their twelve pieces, two per turn, without using the central square.
  2. After placement, a piece moves one square horizontally or vertically.
  3. An enemy piece is captured when a move sandwiches it between two of your pieces.
  4. Multiple captures can be made with the same move.
  5. After a capture, the same piece may continue with additional capturing moves.
  6. The central square is a refuge: a piece there cannot be captured.
  7. If a player is blocked, the opponent plays again to open a route for them.
