THE ESSENTIALS
How to Play
- Choose the dictionary language, a board of 9 × 9, 11 × 11 or 15 × 15 squares, and two to four players. In solo mode, the other players are computers.
- Select a letter from the rack, then a square. The first word must cross the central star. Later placements must touch existing letters.
- Place the new letters in a single line, without gaps. All formed words, including cross words, must exist in the chosen dictionary.
- The 2L and 3L squares multiply a letter; 2M and 3M multiply the word. A bonus square counts only on the first placement. The blank tile is worth zero points. Playing all tiles on your rack scores 50 points.
- You can take back letters before validating, pass, or exchange letters if the bag has enough. The game ends when the bag and one rack are empty, or after two passes per player. Remaining letters are deducted from scores.
